| | Lady GaGa - P-P-P-Poker Face | ] | One of the guys at work asked me if I thought Lady GaGa was good looking & i said to him "i actually don't know" I've actually never seen a photo of her face without glasses on or something else covering a part of her face or her entire face. Did you see what she wore at the MTV awards? she looked like one of those psycho nurses in Silent Hill
Me & Christine were at the wedding show at the secc for 3.5 hrs on saturday & for me it was torture. The amount of stalls we visted that were either flowers or photography was unbelievable, i ended up carrying plastic bags full of magazines, leaflets, business cards & little favours. My fingers & knuckles were white by the time we got home, the thing that saved the day for me was that i got to sit in the back of an awesome Rolls-Royce, it felt like i was an old bearded jewish guy on the search for an Apprentice (Christine, you're fired) |

| | Oasis - The Masterplan | ] | I seen the news last night that Noel Gallagher has quit Oasis 'cause he & Liam can't be in the same room together anymore
It's a shame but i'm not that suprised, probably should of happened a long time ago & that they managed to keep it going 'till this year was a good effort. Basically with Noel qutting it more or less spells the end for Oasis, Noel IS that band so without him they're buggered really
Anyways Liam Gallagher is a dick so looking forward to seeing Noel as a solo artist |

Just finished watching it, how can anyone not love Zac Efron? |

| | James Morrison & Nelly Furtado - Broken Strings | ] | hi boys n' girls, at work on lunch & bored. I wish right now I was on my way over to T in the Park this weekend, the line up this year looks fuckin' superb & sadly i ain't going
I'm bored so i have a question for y'all;
In regards to anime, where did it all start for you?
The 1st anime film i ever saw was Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, my mum bought it for me when i was a young teen but at the time played the video games & i just saw it as a Street Fighter cartoon but that was the 1st one i saw
The 1st "proper" anime i ever saw was 3x3 Eyes. my mate at high school gave me a loan of it & i was hooked. The 1st anime i actually went out & bought was Bubblegum Crash, was one of the adverts in the 3x3 Eyes video & looked good. It was good at the time but later on i discovered the old Bubblegum Crisis series which was lot better than Crash |

| | Smashing Pumpkins - Bring The Light | ] | I saw the news last night that Man Utd signed Michael Owen! the guy must be piching himself this morning hoping he ain't gonna wake up & realise it was all a dream.
Also bummed that Andy Murray was knocked out of the semis & Wimbledon. was really looking forward to seeing a Murray - Federer final, maybe next year
Went to see Ice Age 3 last night with Washu, really good. Simon Pegg steals the show though. |

| | Linkin Park - New Divide | ] | Finally went to see Transformers 2 yesterday, it was alright i guess
parts of it were good, Jetfire being the main one, Megan Fox as well but it felt long & tried to be funny at times when it really didn't need to be i.e Devestator's balls & the two annoying Autobot twins
Megatron was awesome in the movie & i actually liked how they used Soundwave in the movie too but i didn't understand why Arcee was made up of 3 motorbikes. So there were a few hits but there were a few misses too but overal it was a good film (No Jon Voight though sadly)
I did prefer the 1st movie though, hopefully the 3rd one will be better |

Absolutely gutted MJ is dead, couldn't believe it. 1st person i called was Gayle 'cause she's adores the guy & the poor gal was in tears or close to tears.
I do admit the guy did have a couple of screws loose but he was DA MAN at what he did. Awesome songs & one hell of a dancer, his music videos are among the best ever done (the best choreography i've ever seen) |

| | hopeful | ] | Got an interview tomorrow with an agency for a job in a Barclays Bank in the city centre so here's hoping i do well.
UFC 2009 came out for the PS3 over the weekend & it's awesome, mixed martial arts makes for a more enjoyable game than boxing & i'll probably give Fight Night Round 4 a miss now.
Christine is getting very broody the past couple of months, everytime she sees everthing & anything babyish she makes that hight pitch "aww" noise that only women can reach. we adopted a dog from the dogs trust over a month ago & i kinda hoped that would calm her broodiness down but it hasn't, she still wants a baby & after thinking about it I'm starting to warm to the idea. i'll be 26 this august and in today's world that is quite old for having a kid & if a 16yr old can cope with a kid then surley a 26yr old can as well
God we've already picked out the names for boys & girls, i'm doomed :p |

| | Alexander Ryback - Fairytale | ] | Hi peeps, it's been nearly 2 months since i last posted
Not much to report really personally, i ended up getting the sack from Abbey at the end of March (the day of my last entry no less) so currently i'm one of the great unwashed at the moment, i've been in a bit of a rut lately but since last week i've been feeling a lot better and trying to find a job is tough at the moment but still plugging away
Few good films out now & soon, not seen Star Trek yet but should be good, i'm definitely up for X-Men: Wolverine, i've spent the last week watching X-Men 1 to 3 'cause christine hadn't seen any of the films yet but now she's up to date. have to say i'm not up for Terminator: Salvation at all, just not interested in it. there's a few other films out soon that i can't remember off the top of my head.
best film i went to see this year so far has been The Damned United, just before the film was about to start i got a text message from work saying not to turn up on Monday as I was being let go so i was pretty bummed before the film but with the movie being about the real life story of Brian Clough's lousy 44 day stint as Leeds United manager which he ends up getting sacked but knowing that he later ends up becoming one of the best english mangers of all time with Nottingham Forest really cheered me up
Who watched Eurovision on Sunday? It was very good, definitely one of the best ones for a long time & the UK did pretty well for a change with Andrew Lloyd Webber's song. For some reason i've always watched Eurovision & Graham Norton was pretty good on the commentary, you could tell last year Terry Wogan couldn't be arsed anymore with the event & Norway's entry ended up being more popular than Lordi's song from 2006 which i never thought possible. Alexander Ryback - Fairytale was the winning song & it is VERY catchy

[Mar. 24th, 2009|08:12 am] |
Ed Byrne was awesome last night, the tour is called Different Class & the show at the Kings turned out to be fuckin' top class.
the show was part of the comedy festival but he was also recording the show last night for his new dvd & he was on stage for just over 2hrs which was amazing
a lot of topics came up but the wedding section slayed me. there were a lot of other stuff but i can't remember so early this morning off the top of my head.
a big number of LJ guys n' gals we met at the show too, penfy, ninja steve, nick, irish dave etc, so i'm sure they'll write about the show as well later on
loved it, the guy is hillarious |

| | MCR - Desolation row | ] | exactly two weeks after being told i was no longer required at capita i got a call from my agency & they want me back there on monday (tomorrow) apparently i'm required again in the same dept i was in that i was told no longer needed me o__O again it's temp but hell it means making more money than the wanky dole money i'm getting & not spending my entire day eating crap & playing FIFA 09 (Penfy, sorry for not getting back to you but thanks for offering to look at getting a job for me at your place, i appreciate it mate)
The Glasgow Comedy Festival has been going on for the past couple of weeks, there were a few comedians i wanted to go see, i wish i got tickets for Jim Jeffries & Andy Parsons but decided not to but got told they were awesome shows. i did take christine & sandro to see Reginald D Hunter in the west end, big black american comedian from london who's usually on Have I Got News For You & QI, he was superb. & tomorrow me & christine have tickets for Ed Byrne at the Kings & that should be amazing too, I love Ed Byrne
Been a few big stories in the news this week, Austria's favourite son Josef Fritzel pleaded guilty to all the charges against him & now sentenced to life in a psycho ward. nearly a year now since that story 1st broke out & it's been unreal from start to finish what that guy did. Jade Goody also died today, as i said previously it's a shame but i never was a fan of hers & the girl sure knows how to pick her days with dying on Mother's day an' all
seen a few movies while i was off with having nae job to go to, went to see Marley & Me and yes i cried at the end, i think the majority of the cinema audience was as well. Christine was crying & was doing so on one of my sleeves, thought someone had poured a cup over my shoulder. saw The Watchmen a 2nd time 'cause after seeing it the 1st time i wasn't impressed so i decided to read up about it & read a few of the comics so i ended up liking it more the 2nd time. it's an ok film. I also see that there's a new Street Fighter film out, The Legend Of Chun-Li & the only reason i would consider seeing it is because Kirsten Kreuk (aka Lana Lang from Smallville) plays Chun-Li
new series of The Apprentice starts on wednesday at 9pm on BBC 1 :D |

| | Bob Dylan - The Times They're-A-Changing | ] | Yesterday for the 1st time in a while i had a long lie in now i have no job to go to in the morning, spent yesterday signing on & applying for a couple of jobs so probably just keep doing that untill i crack something.
So when i finished on friday i met up with sandro, kev, mark, steph & bubba to go see The Wacthmen but i didn't like it. I mean it was alright but i had never heard of The Watchmen prior to seeing the film so spent the first hour saying "who's who & what's going on?" The place was packed & there was a standing ovation from a section of the crowd so i can see the fans enjoyed it but if you ain't a fan then it really is 50-50. i did however like the music in the film, the gory stuff & i do like films that don't particularly have happy endings 'cause it isn't the norm but i really just couldn't get into it.
Also i played one of the most strangest video game of all time, it's a game called Flower on the Playstation Network. the best way to describe this is game is that it's more or less the co-op advert that's on the telly at the moment, you control flower petels using the sixaxis & trying to collect more petals & turn the grass green. very weird but boy what a wonderful game, found myself singing blowin in the wind while playing it |
